Friday, the Twentieth of June

Today, I feel absolutley great. Simply because I flagged down the Ice Cream Man for the first time in at least three years!

It reminded me of the good ol' days. The days of hanging out playing street wiffleball or having water gun fights with the friendly kids around the block for hours on end back in Sayville, on Division Avenue.

When the ice cream guy game around then, the only sensible thing to get (of course) was the "Double Cherry Pop". That way, you get two popsicle sticks. When you had five popsicle sticks, you get a free popsicle, which was usually a Double Cherry as well :P

So, what are your Greatest, funniest, or worst Ice Cream Truck experiences? What was/is your favorite thing to get? When was the last time you flagged him down?

I love the ice-cream man. Unfortunately, we never get to hear his happy jingle in our neighborhood. (I think he doesn't know that we exist back here.)
BUT, the ice-cream man does come by Melissa's house.
The last time I flagged him down was a few years ago. He was zooming by MJ's house, and we really wanted ice-cream. So, I opened the screen door and disgraced myself by yelling, "STOP" from the front porch. He hear me, and turned around and we were very happy with our vanilla ice-cream cones and rainbow sprinkles....

Yum!

Hmmm...let me think...Well, the last time I got ice cream from the ice cream truck was on the north shore last summer with Tim. Get this, The ice cream man was from Turkey! Anyway, I believe I got a drumstick! Those are sooo good, especially when you get to the bottom of the cone with that wedge of chocolate at the the tip. Oh man, I want one now!!!!!
